One of the reviewers here on Goodreads, Liesl, recommended this book to its intended audience of young adults and "women who were avid readers as kids and want to return to the giddiness and excitement of reading an unfolding mystery told by a girl on the edge of womanhood." A fun quick read. I thought of it as a girl version of Harry Potter with a little bit of Twilight thrown in (no vampires, but same fast story line). Great read between heavier books.
