Temporarily DNFing this. I do intend to finish it someday, but right now, it's just not holding my attention.

This was the second time I tried (and failed) to get through this book. This is doubly amazing; I almost never abandon books, especially not ones that go about dealing with magic in new and interesting ways. The story of two magicians who are destined to bring magic back to England. The first third of this book really drags. The next third picks up in places with Strange finally comign into the story but still pretty slow. The last third was interesting and the plot did get wrapped up but it took way too long to get to that point.

There were parts of this book that I enjoyed but it was so long and dragged out that I just can't say I liked the book. It's definitely well written and well researched but it reads more like a history book than anything else.
