This is the last installation in the Gemma Doyle trilogy, or the Spence Triology, or the Realms Triology, all titles could apply. It will captivate you as much as the first two. This novel spans a whole gammit of emotions from smiles and laughter, tears and heartbreak, anger and frustration, to so much more. The last book of this series and again we join Gemma in her discovery of self through her revelation of English socities, relationships, and magic.

I have to admit I find the series just okay however I thoroughly enjoyed the last half of this book. Lots of actions, things were just happening and I just had to read on. I'm glad Gemma found what it is she wants from life and grew to have the courage to go for it.

It's way too slow and much too long for the events that take place. It honestly could have been trimmed down by AT LEAST half an ...more

a perfect conclusion to the series. it's been a long time since a young adult series engrossed me to this degree; there should be more YA writers like libba bray, who merges gripping plot with real, flawed, relatable characters to make a set of books i sincerely couldn't put down (i finished the entire trilogy in about four days). ...more
