I had taken an extended break from the series and was not sure if I was going to pick the series back up again, but after getting stuck at the airport for a few extra hours I ended up picking up the book. I really liked this one. I liked being able to see Alicante and getting a little more of the background on some of the characters. I also loved the way that Simon has changed and evolved.

MUCH better than anticipated. After my rant over book 2, I'm pretty satisfied over how book 3 turned out. The only sad thing is, I expected there to be a book 4, so I finished book 3 thinking there would be another one... turns out #4 is from Simon's POV, so now I feel incomplete and wanting more :( I may have to go back and read the ending with that "the end is coming" reminder.
