HOLY SHIT!!

READ IT!! JUST READ IT!!!

So I am going to be truthful, at the start of this book I was ready to DNF it but a friend of mine told me to make it to page 90 and it would get so much better...well I was not disappointed. It didn't just get better it got FUCKING AMAZING!

The characters.
The plot.
The world building.
The BLOOD, oh god the blood *heart eyes*

I really enjoyed this book once I got into it. I have to admit that 50 or so pages in i stopped reading the footnotes as they were distracting me and pulling me out of the story. I really liked Mia as a character and the twists and turns of the plot were done really well.

Re-read August 2019 - Still bloody love this book (and yes I still ignore the footnotes)

It took me a LONG time to read this book
I don't think I was actually invested in the story until halfway through and then there literally was no stopping me, I just wanted to keep reading. I love the writing style and the magick/darkin stuff and the way the world works and Mia can kick my ass any day and I'd probably thank her ...more
