Unpopular opinion here, but I’m so glad this book is over, and not in a good way. Thank goodness I had a few people on Twitter to help motivate me to get through this book, because if it wasn’t for them, I would not have finished it. Even when I finished it, I felt so underwhelmed and I felt like I wasted so much time of my life on something that was meaningless and not worthwhile. I don't have the words to describe how much I enjoyed this book. The characters were compelling, the writing was really well done, the narrator was brilliant, and the worldbuilding holy shit, that was fantastic.

This book has taken me so long to finally finish but I did it. This book was incredible. I can’t get over it. We went on such a journey. I have massive respect for the author for this book. The amount of world building that went into this book was excellent. This book had the best world building I have ever read. The characters were all well written. But they had flaws and weaknesses. The Priory of the Orange Tree is worth all the hype that it has received. I adored this complex, well written standalone fantasy. The characters were compelling, magical and heroic. I cannot express how great this novel is!! One of my favourite books of all time.
