A very relatable story for folks who grow up in 90s. Nostalgia, fragility of life and reminiscence of the past where people no longer exist but memories still stay alive.

I'm so glad I didn't read anything about this book before I started reading it so I didn’t know what to expect. It is really engaging and unique in its own way. It’s a beautifully written book, it's incredible how Ishiguro makes words flow with ease and elegance while making you experience all the emotions the characters are going through. A beautiful book that touches a Plenthora of topics without directly mentioning any of them.
It has a ending that leaves a gaping hole in your heart because the kid in you still hopes for a better culmination to the miseries of these people.
The book also very intelligently raises the issue of " science moving too fast for our morality to catch up with ". Even though it's set in a utopian world, it's not hard to imagine we might reach a similar situation in less than a 100 years ( assuming we don' ...more
