I wish I didn't have to wait so long between books! This one was a great ending to this series. I just love her books, her worlds and her characters. I love her use of magic and new worlds to tell stories. She has strong female characters who are learning who they are with the help of people they didn't know they could trust. The adventures they go on are fun and the way she writes makes it easy to imagine just what is happening. I adore the love story she writes. Kerrick and Avry are especially ...more

Taste of Darkness is the third book in the Healer series by one of my favorite authors Maria V. Snyder. I read the first book ages ago and since I rejoined audible, decided it was time to check out the next two on audio. I didn’t review the second since Kate previously had done an awesome job with her review of Scent of Magic.
