Let me preface this by saying I am not a (jr.?) high school girl and I did not go into reading this book expecting it to be a high school-oriented novel. If you are a high school girl and you want a vampire book, if I recall The Silver Kiss by Annette Curtis Klause was much better than this one. The reading level aside, the book just didn't live up to the hype. The characters were flat, uninteresting, difficult to relate to, and hard to believe. The situations they found themselves were stock-va ...more

why dont i?

1st. i dont like fantasy- and the book was not my type.

2nd. She uses muttered, murrmed, and whispered WAY to much. Its a long book so its not hard to understand she'd not be able to have a new word for everything but theres lots of repetitive words.

3rd. its long and if you ask me- pretty much slow paced and boring. i just cant work with long books.

4th. edward's personality is a.blank or b. not described by meyer

5th. It to me seemed un-beliveable, the charecters were prety much "p

Overall, I did not enjoy this book...and for a good number of reasons, I might add.

We'll start off with the main characters themselves.

Bella

She's the main character of the Twilight saga but what baffles me is why. As far as I can see, she doesn't have any personality and can't seem to think for herself. This is sign one of a bad heroin (and I do use that term lightly). Bella doesn't have a single hobby and spends most of her time doting on her father or moping about having to move to Forks. Ap

This book is crap. Seriously the whole series is. The series is anit-feminist, encourages stalking and pedophilia, and controlling behavior. The love in this series is even more unrealistic as a disney movie. It's ruining the minds of modern girls who already bombard by negative images in the media. The whole story basically goes " Your pretty. No Your pretty and smell good. Ok. Lets be boyfriend and girlfriend". *Bella and Edward goes frolicking through the woods singing lalalala*. >o<

I must say I have never actually read the book. Well no more than a few pages. I was immediately turned off by miss Meyer's horrible writing and grammar, it rather reminds me of teen vampire fanfiction. Remember just because you use big words doesn't make you sound smart! Also my friends are huge die hard twi-tard fanatics reaching the point of insanity and beating me if I got withing three feet of there beloved "book" (I use this term loosely). overall I have no idea how Meyer got her, well wha ...more
