Rather intense and really quite sad. I can see why it made the booker longlist. not really my kind of book though (so it'll probably win!)

This is an excellent book. She has the outlook of the Irish down to a tea. The weird who is responsible and how one should behave. The way the punishment for putting on airs is implemented. Very insightful and well written.
