Best parts of the book:

Something bad happens, Thor immediately suspects Loki. Why? It saves a lot of time.

Something bad happens. This is too bad even for Loki, must then ask Loki for advice.

This was an entertaining read, but it seems to be a very shallow reading of Norse mythology. I'm left with the feeling that there is so much more!

Neil Gaiman's retelling of a few of the most popular Norse myths. A highly enjoyable read. I would like another collection of Gaiman taking the story & adding his own spin to it, building on it. These are mostly pretty standard retellings. There's nothing that shouts NEIL GAIMAN about them, which is probably a good thing, considering.


* Second "reading" is audiobook - read by the author, which always pleases me. He has a beautiful reading voice & is one of the few authors I actually listen to aud
