3.5. Was a descent amount of suspense but found missing links and some lack in continuity. Seemed to find emphases on inconsequential matter while other important links were glossed over. Performance was very good as I always had a fondness for an English narration. Overall a suspenseful read and I’m looking forward to what she brings to future works.

Fantastic twists and a great story. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren’t for the horrendous language. Seriously, why are so many people obsessed with foul language??? The story does not need it at all.

At first I got irritated with the choices that Erin made. They were very predictable. The book takes a good turn and makes this a great read. Something in the Water challenges the reader to confront and question what we hope for, the morals we sometimes abandon and then what we have to tell ourselves to live with it

An interesting thriller/mystery that kept me guessing. Erin and her newlywed husband Mark find something in the water while scuba diving on their honeymoon in Bora Bora. For some reason, I thought they found a monster or something supernatural due to the blurb on the back of the book but that is not the case. I didn't really like any of the characters and that usually makes me dislike a book, but this one was intriguing enough that I had to read until the end to know how it all came out. More fu ...more

I read this on a flight from California to Ohio and I complained to my husband the entire flight. These characters were way too stupid to live. I couldn’t believe the idiotic things they did. However, the ending was surprising and really good - it more than made up for the rest of the book!
