Drue is pretty awful as a person. She snoops in her co-workers' desks for no reason, she promises a little girl swimming lessons that she has no intention of giving. I don't have a lot of patience for amateur detectives who insert themselves into a crime scene or break and enter with no training, no weapons, no backup, nothing. I kept forgetting she was 36 and not 26.

I was in the mood for a light beachy read (even though I'm not at the beach) and this worked perfectly. There's not much new here, but Andrews' combination of women's fiction & mystery always seems to work for me anyway. It felt a bit too long, but otherwise enjoyable. ...more
