I’m not sure what exactly I expected this book to be but it was not what I expected, and in a great way.
It was a really good mix of contemporary with enough mystery to keep me turning the pages. I was interested in both the past timeline with Nella and Eliza, and the present timeline with Catherine. Near the end there was a point where I was worried I wouldn’t like the direction it seemed one of the characters was leaning but there were more reveals which weren’t what I expected and that really ...more

This was super interesting until it started to wrap up, and then it got extremely sappy. It was a 4 until the last 30 pages or so. Still, the mystery was exciting. I don’t think I’d read it again, though.
