I am slowly becoming one of Simone St. James biggest fans. I love diving into stories where psychological thrillers meet paranormal horror stories. This is where the author shines. This book does not disappoint. Hits exactly on that sweet spot.

Read convincingly by Brittany Pressley, Kirsten Potter and Robert Petkoff (big fan)

Another wonderful page-turner from Simone St. James! A thriller and a mystery with some paranormal activity tossed in for fun. Shea is 30, divorced, and childless in a dead-end career and a passion for true crime. She meets the aged and beautiful Beth Greer, a wealthy recluse who lives alone in her deceased parents mansion. Beth agrees to be interviewed regarding two murders for which she was acquitted but are still unsolved as well as the unsolved murder of her father.

This kept me entertained and the story actually captured and kept my attention, especially the audio narrative. It wasn't as riveting as St. James' previous novel. The ghost story seemed unnecessary this time, and could have been just as intriguing without the haunting. ...more
