Que livro DOIDO. É até difícil resumir numa sinopse ou num argumento conciso. Um livro antiguerra, antiamericano, anti imperialismo. Não é à toa que esta é uma das referências principais do Chuck Palahniuk. Poucas vezes na minha vida li uma história com um tom tão debochado. Kurt Vonnegut realmente está de parabéns pela escrita e dinamismo dos diálogos, que são super críveis e engraçados ao mesmo tempo. Kurt Vonnegut has a unique style of narrative: direct, insightful, humorous, full of elements of fantastic reality while making profound criticisms of human behavior.
In this book, Kurt in an incredible way makes us reflect on human stupidity. In creations, beliefs and philosophical conflicts between creation, development and attachment to science and religion.
He presents with a delicate humor the thin and fragile line of arrogance, diplomacy, levity, sincerity and human hypocrisy in different Kurt Vonnegut has a unique style of narrative: direct, insightful, humorous, full of elements of fantastic reality while making profound criticisms of human behavior.
In this book, Kurt in an incredible way makes us reflect on human stupidity. In creations, beliefs and philosophical conflicts between creation, development and attachment to science and religion.
He presents with a delicate humor the thin and fragile line of arrogance, diplomacy, levity, sincerity and human hypocrisy in different perspectives.
And also how different perspectives are grasped with absurd needs and empty of justifications.

A SciFi fica quase no final do livro.

Trata-se de um livro que começa com o entrelaçamento de biografias, onde aprendemos a origem do Bokonon e das pessoas ligadas a Felix Hoenniker, um dos pais da bomba atômica e ganhador do Nobel (mas personagem fictício), e seus três filhos.

De repente, transforma-se numa história apocalítica filosófica ...

Oh well, first fiction book in months and it turns into a DNF.

I thought I was gonna like it judging by the quotes section, which shows phenomenal writing. Sadly, to get to those really juicy parts I had to plod through a lot of stuff that definitely wasn't working for me. ...more
