Estou lendo depois de ter visto a série na HBO. Estava na fila de leitura e passou na frente de vários porque Felipe e eu decidimos escrever um artigo exatamente comparando a série com o livro. E tem mesmo bastante coisa para comentar. Gostei bastante do tratamento interessante que se dá para o que acontece pós Apocalipse. This was not an easy book to read during a pandemic, but it was worth it. The prose is beautiful without being conceited or flowery, the plot held my attention the whole time (love me some intertwining paths), and the characters were incredible. There was much it left open but in a good "think-for-yourself" kind of way. There are some triggers, such as explicit violence, religious radicalism, and self-harm. I'm a very sensitive person and was ok with it, though, and nothing felt gratuit ...more
