What Members Thought

I kind of enjoyed but I have many complaints, and this is rare when I read a fantasy book.
I hated the beginning. Slow and completely unnecessary. If the author tells me the MC is a genius, I expect that he can survive alone, being a 13 year old, with some dignity. He received the best education for what? To beg and steal?

Well, not that I didn't like this book, but I think I started to read it with so much expectation, especially from all the hype I've seen here.
Usually I end up hating all the main characters of every single book I read, this have not happened in this case. However, I found that reading this book was really exhausting and sometimes the book lost itself.
