I finished reading this book a few days ago and it is still playing on my mind and I am reading another!

Lacey works as a prison nurse and has had contact with Miller Davenport everyday for three years. Administering drugs to a guy you have had inappropriate thoughts about is not great .. especially once she knows he has had those same thoughts about her. Is it possible to fall for someone with a few stolen minutes chat every day?

Lily scores again with another sexy sure fire hit. Lacey is a prison nurse playing it safe having a no-strings attached, sex only relationship with Shay. This isn't exactly all she wants for the future though. A certain bad boy criminal who is up for release soon is occupying her thoughts and fantasies. Will she listen to her heart and pursue a life with Miller and if so, where will that lead and is Miller really reformed? Unlike my friend Bambi, I've never been one for bad boys, and Miller is the ultimate bad boy, being an ex-con and a supposedly reformed bad boy. When we meet him, he's not even an "ex", he's still a convicted criminal though about to be let out after ten years in jail. I really didn't know how I'd feel about him or this story.

Let's start with the fact that this is written by Lily Harlem, one of my all time favorite erotic romance writers. I'll pretty much read anything she writes so this has been on my to read list for ages. It's crazy sexy hot and it starts out with some serious sexy shenanigans and just keeps going. The sexy doesn't let up and it's classic Lily Harlem but it does surprise me with the relationship between Lacey and Shay.

Lacey. There's a lady who confused the heck out of me. This is because Lily has thrown in a rather interesting love triangle between her and Shay, and later on adding Miller to the mix. There's lots of sexy times going on between Lacey and Shay, and Lacey and Miller. I had a difficult time reconciling to the fact that this is not your traditional romance with one guy and one girl, but then again, Lily is anything but traditional in the relationships she writes. It all adds to the spice of things. Even by the time I got to the end of the book, I couldn't make up my mind about Lacey. Did I like her? Can I condone her actions? Do I agree with her? I don't know. For all of my confusion, Lacey is a lady who marches to the beat of her own drum. She has her own distinct set of morals and she's clear in her own heart and mind of what is right and what is wrong. She's kind, caring, forgiving and big on second chances. She has a heart big enough to love two men though very differently. I found her somewhat naive at some points of the story, but I also understand the heart wants what it wants and for Lacey, her heart wanted Miller, for all he was an ex-con. She had a heart big enough to forgive and I admire her for that.

As for Miller, he's a bit of a conundrum, isn't he? Found guilty (and he was guilty!) of a crime and incarcerated for ten years. Once out, things get a little shady and some things are questionable though as a reader I'm kept mostly in the dark with it until it all comes to a head. Miller is in love with Lacey, and it's clear he's doing his best to walk the straight and narrow for her, but sometimes, you can't help who you're around and the influences they have on you. They can lead you astray. At the end of it, Miller really was reformed and I'm very glad for it. The whole bad boy gone good works and let's face it, he's sexy as all heck, so it's not hard to love him.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story even though I'm still not sure how I feel about bad boys in general. I've always been a good guy kind of girl but maybe if more bad boys were like Miller, I could get on board with it. :-) ...more
