Nature boy is about the last thing Wesley could be accused of being, so it confounds even him why he agreed to this trip with Tony. Their leisurely trip down the river turns into a nightmare. One that Wes is not sure he will ever wake from.
The scent of a human is always sweet to a vampire, yet nothing has ever smelled as good to Remus as the little blonde man they find in the forest. Staying alive is a priority, however, especially with Dráguns infesting the area.

This was a fun read. There is angst in the story but it really adds to the overall drama of the story. The characters were entertaining and the storyline interesting.
Wes is a “city boy” and has no use for being in nature. He is a bit whiney. Remus was a good character but about halfway through his whole attitude changes. This is a big issue. Remus’s character change was a little too abrupt and overwhelming. I thought between the two men there were times it was a little too much with the drama. ...more

Let me start by confessing that Jen Wright, the author of Pavarus, is a good friend of mine. Furthermore, I received my copy of the book as a prize in a giveaway at her blog. So of course, I am predisposed toward offering a positive review of this M/M paranormal romance, the first volume in Jen's Finding Home series.

Couldn't finish this.
There were multiple issues for me: almost childlike behaviour by Wes (no idea if that resolves later on but I couldn't wait long enough); gratuitous (in my opinion) violence and overblown fantasy themes. I just couldn't carry on after about 45%.
I wanted to like this book, because the blurb interested me and I hoped for more from it and for a good series, but I won't be buying book 2. ...more

I really enjoyed this book. The alternate world of Pavarus is cold and violent, but Remus and Wesley steam it up with highly passionate love scenes. I was taken with Remus from the moment he claimed his mate. He is the perfect alpha vamp with a heart and very protective of his unexpected love for Wesley. As well, the secondary characters were brought into the story just enough to make us the reader care about them and want to know more of their stories as well. For a debut novel I believe Jennif
