Evangelica Byrne is not your typical romance heroine. She has tiny breasts, a mop of frizzy, carrot-colored hair, a photographic memory and an IQ over 180. On the one hand, at the tender age of twenty two, she speaks multiple languages (we don't know how many, but in the course of the book we get to see her use her Turkish to good effect), can lecture on astrophysics or ancient mythology, and plays virtuoso violin. I love this trilogy! It really is a fabulous storyline and the protagonists are quite unique and very likeable characters.

I love the BDSM scenes - they are very well written and well thought-out by the author.

I also appreciate the fact that Eva (the heroine) experienced very challenging personal and emotional issues, which made her "more real" to the reader.

Shelves: great-read, bdsm, priority-reading, would-read-again

I was indecisive on whether to give this book 3 or 4 stars, but because I did love the story and some if the humour, I decided on 4. I love that this is set in my home county which makes a change from all the American and London books in the market.
This book is FSOG, meets heathcliffe. I love the developing relationship between Eva's innocence and Nathans vast experience. The sex and BDSM scenes for he are so hot. I have found it hard to out the book down. I got lost a few times with the rumbli ...more

What a beautifully written book with two complicated characters. I love the dark sexual undertones throughout the story. I cannot wait to see where this story takes me.
