I personally liked the book...a lot. However, this book is not for everyone. I wish this were a movie. I feel like I've read this book before...like maybe 20 years ago, but back then I didn't belong to this site. So nonetheless, I believe I just read this book for the 2nd time. I think I dreamed of this book before, which is why I think I've read it before. I see the family of 4 walking up to the house, which would become the focus of the entire story. While looking at an internet thread about "The Scariest Book You Have Ever Read," I came across this book dozens of times. I wrote the title and authors name down and went to the library. The library has no copies. At all. I then went to the Half-Price Book Store. I finished this book on Monday and I honestly don't know how I feel about the book. It is unlike anything I have ever read. I can't say I loved it and I can't say I hated it. I think I just need time to absorb the story and see how I feel about it!
