A sweet story of young star-crossed love that also manages to be creepy as hell.
Seriously, where were the YA books like this when I was in high school!!
Aside from graphic depictions of what it must be like to be chewed on by wolves, what upset me the most was the main character's parents. They were just awful! Not abusive, just criminally selfish, immature and neglectful. Not that I am a perfect parent myself, but I like to think I would at least know if my daughter were...you know...doing it wi ...more

I got into this book so quickly and couldn't put it down was a fast read. I feel in love with the character Sam and really felt his pain and longing for Grace as he lingered on. I really enjoyed Stievaters take on werewolfs was very intresting and unique. I adored the poetic and lyrical parts of the book they were so touching and made me wish I read more poetry than I do. I was disapponted in the awful parenting of most of these teenagers though. I wanted to reach though the book and slap them!

I really did enjoy it and I liked how it wasn't so much a YA when it came to certain aspects of the story. I will very much be likely to finish out the series. I felt that some of the story was very predictable but there were certain parts that I did not expect and for sake of spoilers I will not mention it here.

I loved, loved, loved this book! I can't wait to sink my teeth, well eyes, into the next one! I keep wondering why so many of us adults are so into these Young Adult novels....and the answer is, because we never had them when we were teenagers! We had Sweet Valley High and Judy Blume but nothing compares to the books out today and I just can't seem to get enough of them.

This book has been on my To Be Read list for a very long time and I'd heard so many good things. Well, I finally got to it and Maggie Stiefvater didn't disappoint. Since Grace was very young, she has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house, particularly Her wolf with the yellow eyes. When the attacks begin and her wolf shows up on her porch, bloody and freezing...he's not really her wolf any more. Sam and Grace are meant for each other...have loved each other for years. But time is not
