It's always difficult to review a book that everyone seems to love and you didn't quite achieve that in reading it. In favor of Gone Girl, it was a fast read and worked as a psychological thriller quite well. I mean I definitely wanted to find out what happened to Nick, the self-absorbed, philandering husband, and Amy, the sociopath wife, and I was intrigued by the unveiling of Amy's twisted plan to ruin her husband. However, I found myself actually considering reading the end of the book to put

Compulsive read was really into it. Loaded with mind benders BUT big BUT....
****************Spoilers possible ahead****************
Then it seems the author got sick and tired of these two idiots who act like they are having a intelligence show off contest but realistically are too smart for their own good or anyone elses good.
Was disappointed was a good story theoretically but never had any closer and just oozed with spite and hate. A good read if you just got out of an ugly divorce or, if you ...more

Wow. This has got to be one of the mind-twistiest, most convoluted, gut-wrenching love stories of all time. As everyone says in their reviews, hang in there past the first half of the book. But don't think it will be an easy journey. The whole way through, I didn't think for a minute of putting the book down, but I couldn't wait to get to the end...it's THAT enthralling, and it's a very painful journey. All I can say is I love my husband. For all his frustrating imperfections and his simplicity.

When I think of this book, the words “twisted psycho thriller” comes to mind. I had no idea what I was getting into when I started reading this book. It actually was pretty boring at the beginning. But once you discover what kind of person Nick REALLY is and even better what kind of person Amy REALLY is, it becomes more interesting. This is a very unique book. I think that’s why it’s so popular. People like to read plots that are new and untouched. This is solely a character driven plot. I liked

Four stars for the style and skillful writing style of the author but less for the content. The story speaks a great deal of relationships past and present, but I dislike whiny people and those who blame their parents for all that's wrong in their lives. Just get out of a relationship if you are unhappy!
But Flynn does an excellent job of weaving a tale of manipulation, revenge, retribution. ...more

A Fantastic read. I couldn't let it out of my grip. I have all of her books but never read them. This was part of my book club so I had to read it and now I will go back and read the others. Perfect Beach Read!

Great summer beach read if you like some twist and turns... Not too terribly predictable. Best fiction I've read in a while.

I was very disappointed with this book. I had heard this was a great book! The ending was so unrealistic I just couldn't buy it, so it ruined the whole book for me!
