I was so disappointed. I love the trees. I think they are amazing creatures, able to speak to each other, experience the world so differently than we do.
Only read the Hoel story. Not very interesting except for the chestnut tree, so small and yet so big a part of that story. What did it see, feel. How it affected the family. Beautiful, steadfast, reflecting the seasons, a source of food and shade and comfort, a lighthouse, a landmark. I could feel a potential. Would’ve been fun to ...more
