I'm not sure i ever get these "coming of age" books. I enjoyed the main character and the story was easy to read. But I just don't get it.

So Lou screws herself by getting in trouble and putting her whole exchange student experience in jeopardy, only to be given a second change and then gets framed for another offence, which sends her back to Australia.
