Excellent sequel to the story of the Hyperion duology.
The events from the prequel culminate into yet another piece of awesome and engaging storyline, with interesting conflicts and resolutions that kept me interested until the very end.
I just have a small remark - there are a ton of J. Keats references (which I am not that well acquainted with) which might increase the depth with some references of his life and work, but even without that knowledge it's still a great book. ...more

I enjoyed the first book immensely more. This book wasn't necessarily bad, I enjoyed it. It just wasn't constantly engaging. The plot device is very complicated and philosophical. Not sure I will continue with the series. this seems like a great stepping off point.
