This book was really good, so much better than I expected. I was setting myself up for disappointment when I read it, because Stephanie Meyer is not the best author and I wasn't sure I would like it if it wasn't Twilight. But I was wrong! It was written a lot better than Twilight, which makes you wonder if she dumbed her writing down when she wrote that series, because it was YA. It took me a while to read The Host because of school. But when I finally got back to reading it, it had me hooked. Very different from the Twilight series yet I found myself surrounded by so many great characters.

I definitely recommend this book :) even to people who aren't fans of Twilight. ...more
