This book was awesome.
First off let me explain about the zombies in this book. They are like regular zombies in some ways. They are decaying, they are mindless, and they want to eat humans. However here is where the similarities end. These zombies are spirit zombies that only certain people can see. Let me repeat, NOT everyone can see them. The people who can see them are with born with the ability or they become able to see them because of a traumatic event. Ali's father saw the zombies but ev ...more

I really enjoyed this book! I can't wait to read the next one. I was hesitant to read it. I tend to avoid scary books due to the very vivid nightmares I frequently have. Don't let the title fool you! This book is not scary! I was a little bit turned off halfway through as I found the love story reminding me of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan from Twilight (except that Ali, despite her dumb decisions was much more bad ass and less annoying).

Thoughts: I like the concept; zombies in spirit form and all that. I thought it was something fresh and different in the zombie genre. I don't really see any Alice in Wonderland connection, except for the name Alice, but even that isn't relevant anymore because she stops using that name and u ...more

I'll read anything that references 'Alice in Wonderland', which is why I chose to read 'Alice in Zombieland.' Even though it had nothing to do with Wonderland, I can't say I'm disappointed. It was an amazing and original story. Spirit zombies? Definitely interesting. There were a few parts that I had to reread to understand what just happened. But, no complaints from me. Can't wait for the sequel to come out in October.
