So. Freaking. Good.

I was terrified that this book and series would be a negative experience, much like reading Outlander was. I saw Outlander the show, fell in love, gave the first three books a shot and basically had to force myself through them. The flow of this novel may be a bit more restrained than some readers like but I found this novel completely engrossing. Science and magic made a perfect union and the characters being supernatural did feel slightly more than human but still the reader felt them to be realistic.
