Oh la la!
Reading this book had a case of life imitating art going on.
Starting out with part of my family that live in Australia having a blackout and playing Monopoly with only candlelight and going on with our internet at home suddenly not working!!
(Which miraculously got fixed by my little sister pulling the receiver-plug out of the socket and putting it back in twice...)
Then - the other day we had no running water from faucets and showers etc. anymore!!!?!?!
Like what eeeeven?!

I'm a big fan of apocalyptic novels so I was really excited to get my hands on this one. Yes, here we go, yet another book about the world shattering into pieces (not literally, but you get the point). Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer is about Miranda and her family who has to struggle to survive on small rations of food, a small supply of water and the heat from their wood-burning stove after the moon gets knocked closer to earth by a meteor and the climate on earth goes nuts.

I was very excited to start this series! It definitely didn't disappoint! The author does a great job of adding detailed descriptions to situations that are unthinkable.
