I know I am too late to read this book now. But the last time I tried, I failed to complete it. Honestly,I just don't why I didn't like it the way everyone did. I was really excited about the series after reading The Infernal Devices(oh yes, I read the prequel first :P). Maybe, my exceptions were too high or maybe it gets better in the other books.*fingers crossed*

This was definately not my favorite book. Cassandra Clare took a good story idea and ruined it with bad writing and dumb characters. I get that it was her first book or whatever, but even I could have done a better job a writing this book. At most parts in the story, I was just trying to make sense of what was happening. I forced myself to finish it because I kept thinking that it would get better, or there would be some sort of interesting twist that would make it less boring, but that never ha ...more
