First reading, July 2010:

The first five pages were terrific, the next 50 or so were a little slow, and then it was a romp of a read with a core of seriousness.

Wow, this time I loved it. There are complexities of Miles's relationship with his parents and (of course) Bothari that I saw on this reading only because I had read the surrounding books.
