This book evokes so many emotions. It is extremely well written and contains just the right amount of legal reference without being overwhelming. Telling the story from the aspects of both wives was brilliant! The story pulls you in and doesn't let go until the last word of the book.

Stand Your Ground is a tough (subject matter), yet compelling read. This is definitely VCM's best writing thus far, and that says a great deal about his exceptional author. ...more

"Stand Your Ground" (2015) by Victoria Christopher Murray is a meaningful novel about family survivors after a White man shoots a Black male teenager to death. The teen’s mother is devastated and struggles to ensure that protests in her slain son’s name stay nonviolent. The shooter’s wife stands by her man, but she knows more than she reveals.
