I got through this somewhat quickly and I don’t have a lot of thoughts other than that I enjoyed it. In a sense, I’ve seen the same, or at least similar story played out before, though not where the main character was transgender, so it’s fantastic that everybody’s stories are now being told and I’m glad that they are. This was a great story with a lot of character and spirit to it, and loads of heart, which is always vitally important. I will say that I didn’t love this, not that because it was ...more

This book deserves that and so much more.

𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐱 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 is truly beautiful.I found myself crying way too many times. The urge to quote almost everything and post on Goodreads,to share this story with the world was overwhelming.
I started this book on impulse, mostly because of the GORGEOUS cover, and when I finished it I had diffrent thoughts about the world.

I know I probably sound too dramatic, but I can't describe my love towards this book any diffrently.♡︎

Review for our book club "Books Real When Shared" book of the month - August 2020

I was so eager to read this book and it did not let me down. I really loved this story and I think there should be more contemporary books like this. The representation was so good, and the characters so very well written.

I really liked Felix, I think he was the bravest and he really stood up for himself. His journey of growth was amazing to see and I always rooted for him.
It was Ezra though the character that stol

From the opening pages of this book, you can absolutely feel the pain, betrayal, and agony of Felix as his previous life and name are displayed for all to see. As an Asian American straight and cis-gendered woman, I could absolutely see where he was coming from and it set the stage for the anger he felt throughout the book. But the anger was absolutely mixed with fear that as a marginalized person in three categories, he did not deserve to take up space, and that belief was reinforced by family ...more

Felix is trans, he knows he made the right decision but is still struggling to find a label that works for him. Throw in an unknown classmate who has outed Felix with his deadname, and photos, and Felix finds this school year is going to be a journey of self-discovery, and first love.
