Read with the Between the Pages bookclub for our Member's BOTM for January.
Despite somewhat of a slow start for me, I ended up really enjoying this! There's certainly a lot to like here I found, and while the previous Gaiman that I have read have been a miss, I was super glad that this worked out for me. I found the characters to have been quite interesting to follow and seeing that the story takes place during the course of well over a decade, there was some really neat character development th ...more

اگه اشتباه نکنم این کتاب یه تغییر از داستا "کتاب جنگله". داستان بچه ایه که تو نوزادی به خانوادش حمله میکنن و همه ی اعضای خونوادشو میکشن. "باد-مخفف نوبادی" همینطور چهار دست و پا میره به یه قبرستونی و ارواح اون قبرستون تصمیم میگیرن دربرابر قاتلی که دنبال این بچست ازش محافظت کنن. و همین میشه که باد عضو جدا نشدنی این قبرستون میشه.
من چندبار این کتابو شروع کردم قبلا ولی هی نمیشد! حوصلم سر میرفت تا اینکه از نصف داستان گذشت و واقعا تاثیر قلم نیل گیمنو حس کردم:)
دوست داشتنی بود و قشنگ.

At this point, I would say this is probably my favorite Neil Gaiman work. It's certainly the one I've "read" the most. I discovered this book when my daughter was young and we ended up really enjoying it. There was just something so interesting and likable about Nobody Owens and the denizens of the cemetery. It was fanciful, but not ridiculous and just had the right touch of everything. A few years later, I had started getting into audiobooks and I came across the recording by Neil ...more

It's very hard to visualize all the mythical creatures and spirits, but overall it was pretty good ( the first part was a little boring but guess what, it will soon hook you in few chapters :) )
