"A WORLD OF NEVERS UNDER THE NEVER SKY."
*4.5 brilliant stars*
Okay, first I want to take a moment to admire this beautiful cover. I mean, really, how freakin' gorgeous! I'm so glad I have a hardcover copy of this beauty on my shelf. The other cover didn't really do much for me. I'm glad they changed it. It just doesn't describe the story quite like this one. But this one...is perfect. Aria looks bad ass, and the scene around her says so much about the story, perfectly. Love it!

Under the Never Sky was a wonderful book. It is somewhat unique, I say somewhat because the idea of the Aether, pods, etc has been done many many times before some that I can think of are very familiar to the ways that Reverie is described in this book. With that said, I feel as though Veronica was able to take some well known ideas and breathe some new life into them. Similarities should never deter you from reading a book, because all authors have to get inspiration from somewhere. It is how a

Veronica Rossi’s debut novel, Under the Never Sky, is a fantastic, thrilling and beautifully captivating young adult novel that will undoubtedly go down as one of the best books of 2012. Stylistically, Ms Rossi has written a story as stunning in print as it is imagined. Her words are clearly chosen with care, used only as necessary and never to excess. They pull the reader along, painting the picture of a world so very believable and yet strikingly unlike our own. Colour, sounds, smells and sigh

I really did like this book. I liked the story and the writing. it was a little bit different from all the vampire type books I normally read!
First you have Aria, she gets thrown out of her easy make-believe life into what her people call the Death-shop.
Next you have Perry, who is thrown/leaves his Tribe in order to find his beloved nephew, who he lost because of Aria.
What would the chances be for them to find each other in the middle of a storm? What are the chances they would make a deal with ...more

I loved Perry. Aria was fine too (She didn't really annoy me. At all. Wooo!!), but Perry... =D Have not read a character I liked that much in a while. And the story itself was great too. I loved Cinder the moment he appeared. Actually, I think I loved all the characters. Not for who they were, but because they were done pretty well.
I wasn't sure if I was going to like the book that much at first, but I was definitely wrong. And the world building was great. For once I wasn't sitting there throw ...more

The beginning of this one didn't really grab me-- at first I was a bit confused about what was going on, and what exactly it all meant. But as it started to come together, I realized that this is some kind of a mix between futuristic and dystopian, and that it's awesome.
I liked Aria. She can be a bit condescending at times, but she has her heart in the right place. She's also fearless and wicked and one of those characters that I just want to b ...more

I actually kind of enjoyed this a lot. I understood everything, eventually. Yea, in the beginning the was some confusing parts, but it all started to work out eventually and I LOVED Perry and Aria so freaking much! I can't wait to learn more about Cinder and what will happen, but I really did enjoy it! Can't wait to read book 2.
P.S. I didn't mark them down but they had some pretty swoonworthy lines from Perry, I must say, although sometimes the romance was a tad awkward, I still felt like they ...more
