Shelves: post-apocalypse-dystopia, young-adult

Apocalypse-lite for the younger set. Appropriate for kids who tend toward the dark, but aren't quite ready for mature themes this one involves two youngsters who uncover the mysteries (and the way out) of their dying civilization. Not sure I enjoyed it enough to read on unless I stumbled upon book two. ...more

Good book! Really interesting idea. Not too difficult to read in your spare time while also in an intensive academic program. I guess this might be in part due to it being a YA book, but also this is due to it just being a damn interesting story that keeps you reading pretty easily.

I thought of giving this one 4 stars. I was excited to read it. But in the final pages I expected more. I think the reason for this is the fact that I watched the movie first, so naturally I expected more from the book. No big deal. Still a great read. I enjoyed it.
