In which industrial civilization collapsed some unspecified number of centuries ago in an event known as "the Storm," leaving a variety of different societies that seem to revolve around communion with nature (with the notable exception of the "avvengers" who scrounge about in modernity's leftovers) and non-violence and communalism. This is kind of a back to nature post apocalyptic book. It has a definite native American flavor. Honestly, there was a bit too much nonsense for me.
