It's hard to tell how to rank The Bible. I like the King James Version because as much of it is beautifully written as is hopelessly awkward. I like Lamentations, the Psalms, Song of Solomon, lots of the individual stories in the Old Testament for their drama, and chunks of the New Testament. Revelation is nuts, though, as is Leviticus. And my enjoyment of the Bible does actually depend on who I'm talking to and what they're doing with it.

Oh dear, the reviews of this particular work tend to vary between one star and five stars with very little in between. I have opted to give this no stars, but that's not a value assessment. I think it's impossible and silly to assign a star rating to a (possibly ghost-written) anthology of this sort, regardless of its literary merit (and it does have literary merit, apart from all those chapters that go something like "...Manassah being the son of Jeroboam, who was the son of Eliazar who was the
