Three Stars? Four Stars? This is one of those difficult to rate books. I enjoyed reading GRASSHOPPER JUNGLE and feel my time wasn't wasted, and there was a lot to enjoy in the book... BUT ultimately I gave it a "3" because deep in my hard cold soul, I have no interest in re-reading it, ever.

I honestly don't know how to review this since I'm not sure exactly what it is I read. Only can say this was the best whatever the hell kind of story I've read in a long time!!! LOL!

You would just have to read this bizarre, fantastic, hilarious, wonderfully written masterpiece yourself to get it. I have never heard such words put together like this before. Not the worst book in the world, and it definitely had an interesting premise. I just have too much else to read, and the protagonist didn't capture my attention. He's not that likeable - way too many hormones, and way too much horniness. Maybe I'll finish it some other time. ...more
