This book was a fantastic surprise!!! I have had it on my shelf for a while now and a friend kept suggesting we read it and I started it and enjoyed what I read, but then the main character goes off to a sort of school and I mistakenly thought that it was going to be just another book set in that particular setting with all the typical tropes that come with that.
