I held off on reading this for quite some time because I caught the film on a plane and found it so-so. The book, however, is a far deeper, more emotional experience. This is the best zombie book out there, bar none.

Ok I can't believe I'm saying this but I fell in love with a zombie. Not to get confused with I love zombies. I've had the ARC for this book for quite sometime, it's premise intrigued me. Zombie gets the girl and you and up rooting for them all the ay to the end.

In this dark, apocalyptic world, we meet a zombie called R. He can't remember his name or his past life before being a zombie. The story is told through his eyes, and following R on his journey to love and to find his humanity is charm

I bought Warm Bodies after loving the movie. Normally the book is so much better than the movie that I set myself up assuming this would just be beyond amazing. Instead it was enjoyable, but not as amazing as I'd hoped. That's honestly not a knock against the book - more so a praise of the movie. Or perhaps it was just that the concept of thinking zombies, told from the zombie's POV is so unusual that it blew me away the first time and reading the same plot as a book wasn't a new concept anymore ...more

This is a rare example of the movie being better than the book. Maybe if I hadn't seen the movie first I would have liked the book better, but I just couldn't get into it and I didn't like the writing style. ...more
