A Nebula award-winning re-read. And if I had written reviews way back when, maybe I wouldn't have re-read it. I remembered specific details so well - the mention of jfk, a not-quite-chance meeting in the epilogue, the basic concept of communicating between the future and the past. One of the classics of the genre even if somewhat dated.
Truly brilliant character sketches are the hallmark of this one even more than the intriguing plotline.

This book has way too much technobabble for my tastes. I felt like I was wading through tar for the first 50 pages. I knew I wouldn't make it through the nearly 500 pages of this style so I am sending this one on it's way unfinished.
