First and foremost the world building in World of Shell and Bone is just gorgeous. The grittiness and danger of the world in which we are presented feels almost tangible from the almost poetic writing style of S.K. Falls (previously under pen name Adriana Ryan).

This will be a series that I'll be keeping an eye on and wouldn't be surprised to see this story come to life in more ways than through books in the future.

World of Shell and Bone features a boring, cowardly girl, Vika, who lives in a bleak, emotionless, post-apocalyptic world. After living a lifetime of government compliance, Vika suddenly has an epiphany and transform herself into a passionate rebel. Vika supposedly has this sudden desire to rescue her little sister eight years after she has been in an asylum.
