Michael Crichton's not a great writer, but he's really good at taking a single, somewhat speculative scientific conceit and not only making it understandable by laypeople but also suspenseful and fun to read. When he's bad, he's really, really bad (e.g., Disclosure, Rising Sun), but when he's good his books are pretty interesting and entertaining. ...more

Enjoyed it quite a lot. I actually liked what was done with the movie a bit better (the visuals and set design are great in the movie), but this was fun to compare the film to.
