This is Grisham doing what Grisham does best - courtroom drama. The story takes place in Ford county, Mississippi. Seth Hubbard is a very wealthy man and when he commits a very carefully prepared suicide, he leaves a hand-written will in his office. The will leaves his vast fortune almost completely to his black housekeeper, cutting out his adult children and grandchildren.
