Good story that focuses on 1960's Italy where a young Italian man falls in love with an American movie star staying at his small hotel. The story goes back and forth between modern day Hollywood and Italy in the 60's where Cleopatra (with Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor) is being filmed. Burton becomes a character in the story and if you are listening to the audio version you get an extra treat - Edoardo Ballerini is a wonderful narrator and does a great "Richard Burton" voice, as well as a
