[close] This was a very suspenseful book by Lisa Gardner. Detective D.D. Warren plays a small role, but most of the story is about Massachusetts State Trooper Bobby Dodge. Dodge is a sniper used for hostage situations, and he is drawn in to a situation that gets more complicated by the hour. Is it murder by cop, or a justifiable shooting? Dodge's career comes to a grinding halt as he is labeled a murderer.
