I was introduced to this author by a friend of mine. I guess since the popularity of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" other Sweidsh authors have become popular such as Mankell and Nesser. I am interested in these books because one of the places that I want to travel to is Norway and Sweden.

Since the success of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series, a number of sites I buy books from have been pushing various other Scandinavian mystery writers. I picked this one which sounded good - and is part of a series that I can hopefully get into. Kurt Wallander is a Swedish police inspector.
